“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…”
― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

Madison is happiest when she has something to look forward to, whether that’s a Clemson football game, a shopping trip, or a weekend spent exploring somewhere new. She loves spending time with her family and twin nieces and is rarely far from her three cats. She’s also a big fan of true crime, history, and keeping up with pop culture. With that said, there’s a good chance she always has a new rabbit hole she’s fallen into.

Madison’s path to marketing and communication took a few turns before bringing her back home. She began college at the College of Charleston, where she spent three semesters studying Political Science before returning to Aiken and earning her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a cognate in Integrated Marketing from the University of South Carolina Aiken.

Before joining Western SC Economic Development Partnership, Madison gained experience in both marketing and customer service. As a Social Media Intern with the SRS Community Reuse Organization, she created and scheduled content, managed social media calendars, helped maintain websites, and supported community events and regional initiatives. She also spent two years serving at Mellow Mushroom in Aiken, where she developed a love for meeting and connecting with people from all walks of life.

In her new role as Marketing & Investor Relations Coordinator, Madison is excited to combine her background in communication and marketing with her love of the Aiken community. She looks forward to meeting more of the people and businesses that make Western South Carolina such a great place to live, work, and grow.
